Bob Hill is a city sleeker from Richmond who is quite uncomfortable with life in the country and especially the customs of country folk. Despite this he intends to marry a girl who came from the country and agrees to be married on Walton's Mountain.

 

Actor Bruce Davison is has made a busy career as a character actor and was Oscar nominated and a Golden Globe winner for his role in Longtime Companion (1989)

Young Olivia is the daughter of a deceased chilhood friend of Olivia Walton's. As the Waltons are about the only family that Young Olivia has had she plans to be married on Walton's Mountain.
