Jason Walton |
Jason Walton is the second oldest son. His musical talents were evident from the beginning. Jason's always had a harmonica handy for any moment of celebration. In "The Gift"(s2-ep18) he makes a musical connection with the son of a travelling musician. He joins Bobby Bigelow's band in "The Book" (s3-ep10). In "The Choice" (s3-ep20) he struggles with a career in music or working in the mill with his father. In "The Song" (s3-ep22) he recruits Ben's girlfriend to sing a song of his in Bobby Bigelow's band. Jason studies conservatory piano and music composition in university, "The Breakdown" (s4-ep6). In "The Comeback" (s5-ep3) he become the piano player at The Dew Drop Inn and he convinces Red Turner to perform again after the death of his son. in "The Nightwalker" (s5-ep6)he has formd his own band. When the Dew Drop Inn catches fire he temporarily plays piano in a burlesque house, "The Grandchild" (s6-ep7). He gets a job giving relationship advice on the radio in "The Changeling" (s7-ep5) After the war he buys The Dew Drop Inn "The Whirlwind" (s9-ep8)
In "The Hiding Place" (s5-ep22) he joins the National Guard. Later in "The Children's Carol" (s6-ep11) he questions whether he has the ability to fight and in "The Conscience" (s7-ep13) he becomes a concientous objector. In "The Moonshiner" (s7-ep3) he accepts the responsibility for Boone Walton's freedom.
Jason has
had a few love relationships. In "The Heartbreaker" (s5-ep20) he suffers his first heart break with his brother-in-laws sister Vanessa Willard. He married a young Jewish woman Toni Hazelton "The Beginning" (s9-ep13) whom he met during the war in "The Remembrance" (s8-ep17).
