Aimee Louise Godsey is Ike and Corabeth's adopted daughter. When the Godsey's decided to adopt they were planning to bring home a baby but decided on 10 year old Aimee instead. "The Motorcycle Race" (s5-ep9) Although Aimee had a hard time accepting her parents love, Corabeth went above and beyond in an attempt to fulfill her every need. She builds her closest friendship with Elizabeth.

Rachel Longaker returned to play Aimee Godsey in A Walton Thanksgiving Reunion. DeAnna Robbins played Aimee Godsey in the first 3 Walton Movie Specials.

Miss Mamie Baldwin thinks of herself as the "smarter" of the two Baldwin sisters and for all practical purposes is the "brains" of the duo. The sisters are spinsters and fill their time honoring their father's memory by making Judge Baldwin's "recipe" which although is pure whiskey, they believe it to be for medicinal purposes.

Helen Kleeb (1907–2003) With 128 screen credits to her name Helen's last role was the final Waltons movie special.

Miss Emily Baldwin is the other Baldwin sister who occupies her time making the "recipe". She has her head in the clouds a bit and constantly fanticizes about her one brief romantic encounter with Ashley Longworth. She loves to have fun and is always willing to entertain guests.

Mary Jackson (1910–2005) with 101 screen credits to her name Mary is best known for her role as Miss Emily Baldwin.

Verdie Grant lives down the road from the Waltons. When we first meet her she does not know how to read. "The Scholar" (s1-ep21) She secretly watches as John-Boy helps Elizabeth with her school work. John-Boy figures out her issue and offers to help her to learn. She fears what people will think when the truth comes out but when she receives an Invitation to her daughter graduation ceremony that she can't read she realizes that she needs John-Boy's help. In the "The Roots" (s2-ep5) she meets Harley Foster and his son Jody. They eventually marry and later the two of them adopt Josh, a runaway orphan.

Lynn Hamilton was a regular on Sanford and Son and also starred in Roots: The Next Generation.

Harley Foster arrives on Walton's Mountain looking for work. "The Roots" (s2-ep5) He and his son Jody settles down and start a new family with local, Verdie Grant. While helping John at his lumber mill it is revealed that Harley is a wanted man who had escaped prison. It is revealed that he was unjustly incarcerated after killing a man in self-defence. John Walton receives a pardon for Harley from President Roosevelt.

Hal Williams has co-starred in 9 prime-time hit series including Sanford and Son, Private Benjamin, 227, The Sinbad Show as well as The Waltons.

Jody Foster is Harley Foster's son. When they arrive on Walton's Mountain Jody wants to stay and settle down instead of living on the road. He steals money from Ike's store and hides it in his father's clothing thinking that if he gets in trouble it will keep him from moving away. Later in "The Festival" (s6-ep16) he enlists in the Navy. In "The Hot-Rod" (s9-ep11) he helps Jim-Bob open up a garage next to Ike's store.

Erin Blunt, T.K. Carter, Charles R. Penland have all played the character Jody Foster.

Josh Foster first appears in "The Stray" (s6-ep2) hiding in The Waltons hayloft. He had walked to Viginia from North Carolina after his Grandmother had died. Even though he takes a strong liking to John the family feels that they have to take him to the orphanage. Eventually though Verdie and Harley Foster decide to adopt Josh.

Yancy Tucker appeared in 19 episodes from season 1 to 7. He is quite eccentric character. In "The Chicken Thief" (s2-ep6) and a nod th the character Charlie Snead in The Homecoming, Yancy steals from the haves and gives to the have-nots. He has an affinity for animals and he shares an open door policy with them in his home. He tries to sell homebrewed alcohol as gasoline alternative during the war with Jim-Bob. He gets his baber's licence through a mail order course.

Robert Donner (1931–2006) appeared in Earl Hamner's other series Falcon Crest. He is also remembered for playing the character of Exidor in Mork & Mindy.

Cissy Walker Tucker is a local woman who marries Yancy Tucker. Her name is also credited as Sissy in some episodes.

Cissy Wellman appeared "briefly" as Josey's wife in The Outlaw Josey Wales.

Maude Gormley likes to paint and can't be trusted with credit at Ike's store. Elizabeth chose for her to be her second Grandma in "The Flight" (s6-ep10). She appeared in 15 episodes from season 1 to 7.

Merie Earle (1889–1984) played a recurring character in Green Acres and The Bob Newhart Show.

Fanny Tatum is the local phone operator. Erin gets a job working for Fanny in "The Vigil" (s5ep2). Fanny appears once in Season 1 and 5 times during Season 5 & 6.

Sheila Allen played the character during season 5 and 6. She has acted in a number of Irwin Allen productions. Dorothy Nuemann played Miss Tatum when she appeared in Season 1 "The Actress" (s1-ep15).

Flossie Brimmer appeared in 27 episodes. She ran a boarding house . Her cousin Willie Brimmer came to visit when tensions were escalating in Germany prior to WWII. She recieved a fitting tribute upon her death of the actress who played her in "The Empty Nest" (s7-ep1).

Nora Marlowe (1915–1977) appeared in the first 6 seasons of The Waltons until her untimely death on New Year's Eve 1977. Her character was honored in the same episode as Grandpa Walton when both actors passed away during the hiatus between Season 6 and 7.

George Tobias (1901–1980) played Vernon in Season 1.

Vernon Rutley is a local junk man who makes his living buying and selling 2nd hand items. He travels around the community with his truck filled with treasures of junk. Mary Ellen develops a close business relationship with him as it provides her with a way to make some money and also to do some shopping of her own.

Roy Engel (1913–1980) played him in Season 3.

Horace Brimleyis a quiet individual who can usually be found making small talk down at Ike's general store. He appears 10 times on the show between Season's 2 and 6, starting with "The Ghost Story" (s2-ep21).

Wilfred Brimley is an instantly recognizable character actor known for his distinctive moustache. He starred in movies such as The Thing and Cocoon as well as his own TV series Our House. He is also know for doing the Quaker Oat Cereal ads in the 1980's and was once a bodyguard for Howard Hughes.

Buck Vernon runs a local junkyard. He has prejudiced views against Willie Brimmer when the German newcomer arrives to town just prior to WWII in "The Rumor" (s6-ep14).

Berry Cahill (1921–2012) played Buck 3 times andArchie Lang plays him in "The Victims" (s9-ep15)

Zuleika Dunbar is quite the vibrant individual. She buys Flossie Brimmer's boarding house in after her passing in "The Empty Nest" (s7-ep1). She appears in 5 episodes from Season 4 to 9 starting with "The Burnout" (s4-ep18).

Pearl Shear (1918–2009) has 66 screen credits to her name.

George Anderson is a stern no-nonsense farmer who lives down the road from The Waltons. He buys "Bullet", "Chance" the cow's baby bull calf from John Walton. "The Calf" (s1-ep3) The family disagrees with the sale and the children work to buy the calf back from Mr. Anderson.

Leonard Stone (1923–2011) has 136 screen credits to his name including Soylent Green and Willy Wonka to name a few. He played Judge Paul Hanson in 10 episodes of L.A. Law.

Charlie Snead is an old buddy of John Walton's. He gave John-Boy the nickname of "Sprocket" with he was an infant. He played a significant role in The Homecoming but only appeared once on the series in "The Hunt" (s1-ep4).

Tom Peters has 19 screen credits to his name.

Hawthorne Dooley is the local preacher at the black church. He appeared in The Homecoming as played by Cleavon Little but only appeared twice in the series, "The Hunt" (s1-ep4) and "The Fire" (s1-ep16).

Theodore Wilson (1943–1991) with 83 credits to his name Teddy Wilson appeared regularly in Good Times and That's My Mama.

Lutie Bascomb is a angry single father who fears so much that his daughter may leave him like his wife did that he forbids her from interacting with boys and listening to new ideas from her teacher that he sets fire to her schoolhouse and accidently dies in the blaze in "The Fire" (s1-ep16).

Richard Bradford had a recurring character on Cagney and Lacey.

Lois Bascomb is a young woman who is under constant watch by her controlling father. She is reunited with her estranged mother after her father dies in a drunken rage in "The Fire" (s1-ep16).

Laurie Prange has 43 screen credits to her name.

Mrs. Maggie Mackenzie is an old widowed lady who lives nearby The Waltons. "The Journey" (s2-ep1) She asks John-Boy if he can fix her car so that she can go see the beach one last time before she dies. John-Boy misses going to a dance with Marcia Woolery to drive Mrs. MacKenzie to Virginia Beach. On the way home she has a heart attack and soon dies there after.

Linda Watkins (1908–1976) has 72 acting credits to her name.

Granny Ketchum is an old widowed black woman living in a small farm on Walton' Mountain. "The Odyssey" (s2-ep2) John-Boy helps to get her mule Old Blue out of her cabbage patch and later he seeks her help when a school friend needs medical attention. Granny lets John-Boy borrow her mule in his haste to get back to the sick and pregnant girl. Granny dies that night during a storm but has left the mule in John-Boy's care.

Frances E. Williams (1905–1995) was very active in theater and she helped found the first Equity theater in Los Angeles and served on the board of Actors' Equity for 20 years. She was also the founder of the city's first black theater company, the Negro Arts Theater in the late 1940's.

Charlie Potter is a farmer who shoot's himself in the leg while trying to stop a chicken thief (Yancy Tucker) on his property in "The Chicken Thief" (s2-ep6).

Richard O'Brien (1917–1983) has 79 screen credits to his name.
Meg Wyllie plays his wife.

Hyder Rudge lives a very private life with his wife Martha. "The Car" (s2-ep24) They had lost their 20 year old son who had died at sea. John-Boy is looking to buy a car to use for University and he works at the Rudge's property for weeks to earn enough to buy the car. When the time comes to take the car home Hyder choose to not part with it as it reminds him of his lost son.

Ed Lautner is a well known character actor with over 205 screen credits and who is remembered for his part as Captain Wilhelm Knauer in The Longest Yard. In addition to acting with Burt Reynolds Lauter has also worked with Alfred Hitchcock, Lee Marvin, Burt Lancaster, Jim Carrey and Liam Neeson.

Minnie Doze was Mason Beardsley former maid when his family lived on Walton's Mountain. When he returns briefly to open his former home "The Visitor" (s3-ep13) she quickly settles in to get things set up for him again.

Madge Sinclair (1938–1995) played the Queen mother to Eddie Murphy in Coming to America she played Nurse Ernestine Shoop in Trapper John M.D. and she played the voice of Simba's mother in The Lion King.

Henry Townsend is a widower who asks Grandpa to look after his house while he is away in "The Caretakers" (s3-ep18).

Dan Priest (1924–2004) also appears as Harrison Bixby in "The Flight (s6-ep10).

Easy Jackson made his first of 5 appearances in "The Caretakers" (s3-ep18). As his name implies Easy doesn't like to work too hard and his careless, easy going attitude causes a lot of mishaps. In his final appearance in "The Last Straw" (s8-ep19) he backs the Waltons truck in tht mill causing Jim-Bob to break his arm.

Britt Leach was often cast as no-nonsense police officers, scruffy everyday blue collar working class types, and crude hillbillies in both movies and TV shows alike. he retired from acting in 1991.

Abel Bingley the local ice delivery man made his first of 4 appearances between Seasons 4 and 6 in "The Boondoggle" (s4-ep04).

David Clarke (1908-2004) was well known for his film noir characters. Early in his theatrical career, he performed with Stuart Walker's prestigious stock company, whose members included Will Geer.

Russell Travis is a local who marries Martha Rose Cloverdale. He appears in "The Cloud Burst" (s5-ep8).

Ron Hajak (1951–2011) Ron Hajak was diagnosed with the same form of heart disease as co-actor John Ritter. Ironically they are both featured in the same episode as husbands who seek the help of Doctor Curt Willard for their wives.

Ada Corley is a herbalist who believes in using natural remedies to cure health issues. When Elizabeth breaks her legs in a fall "The Ordeal" (s6-ep19) her friend Aimee seeks Ada's help to get Elizabeth walking again.

Virginia Gregg (1916–1986) also appeared in "The Fledgling" (s4-ep23) as Mrs. Butterworth and she played Miss Parker in Spencer's Mountain. With a stagering 210 screen credits to her name she has acted in various Alfred Hitchcock TV series as well as performing the voice of Norma Bates in Psycho I, II and III. A veteran and much in demand radio performer she performed in the Dragnet radio series and it's various TV spin offs.

Tinker is a friend of Jim-Bob's in "The Burden" (s7-ep16). When Jim-Bob begins a soul searching journey Tinker is not able to identify with him.

Tony Moran played Micheal Myers at age 23 in Halloween. Tony iis the brother of Happy Days actress Erin Moran. Erin appeared as Sally Ann Harper in "The Song" (s3-ep22).
